Inktober, Day 1 – “Fast”

Inktober 2016

inktober2016001

I decided to take to this Inktober thing just for the challenge. I kept up with the daily drawings, but it’s the scanning and online posting that I’ve been lazy with. Based on Mr Jake Parker official prompt list (http://mrjakeparker.com/inktober/), here is “fast”.

My friend Lil Ann, whom I am documenting her life on my new blog The Lady and the Frog, has kindly been modeling for it.

Sailing For Beginners: positioning the water correctly

Ensure the water is at the correct angle relative to your boat

Always verify that the level of water is at the optimal height. The water should arrive half way up the height of the hull.

Remember that the water should preferably cover the lower half of the hull as well as the rudder and the keel. The sails and mast, as well as the cabin, must be free of water at all time.

A thirty something woman walks in a park, by a pond. A frog asks her to kiss him, and promises he’ll turn into a prince. What to do? What will she do?

It’s been a few years in the pipeline and I finally found the time and courage to put it out there. Please visit, and don’t forget to share, follow and comment if you like it. I will aim to update twice a week for the next few months.

Feeling Relaxed

Portfolio

I feel like the Old Wizard, Bramble the Rabbit, Grump Spud and Bob the guinea pigs, Meenoo the cat and Hariet the tarantula: tired but satisfied after a long evening working. The last illustration of a children’s picture book is finally done. The next step will be placing and improving the text. Oh, and Bramble is meant to be spotty too.
